Twenty people were arrested in the Diep River policing precinct from Friday 16 to Friday 23 June.

They were arrested on various charges, ranging from theft, domestic violence, assault, hijacking, illegal possession of a firearm and reckless and negligent driving to possession of drugs, stolen cars and housebreaking implements.

Diep River police spokesperson Sergeant Amanda Gordon says police are looking for information on a house robbery in St Joseph Road in Plumstead on the afternoon of Thursday 22 June.

“The complainant was ironing in the spare room of the house when an unknown man and woman entered with bricks in their hands. The robbers tied the complainant with an electric cord and placed a t-shirt over her mouth and a jacket over her head before stealing items to the value of about R20 000, which included a laptop and a box of jewellery.

“No arrests have yet been made.”

V Anyone with information on the robbery should call detective Sergeant Shaun Lawrence on 021 710 7351.
