Harfield Carnival kicked it up a notch this year with loads of entertainment, opportunities for shopping, networking and getting to know the local community.

A wide variety of delicious eats, craft beer, home décor, art, clothing and live music were on sale.

The carnival took place in Harfield Village in Claremont on Saturday 6 April.

In a previous interview with People’s Post (“Streets come alive”, 19 March) it was revealed that the funds from the carnival will be used to extend the camera initiative in the village, and a portion of the money will go towards De Heide Special Care Centre situated in Second Avenue.

The centre works with physically and intellectually disabled children and adults with cerebral palsy.
