A POLICE search at a local school in the Hibberdene area has led to the discovery and confiscation of 44 grams of dagga and some cigarettes.

The search was conducted by members from SAPS Hibberdene, VISPOL and Warrant Officer Johan Tereblanche from the Port Shepstone K9 unit.

A Port Shepstone SAPS spokesperson said a total of 200 pupils were searched. The forty-four grams of dagga was found, abandoned. “Ongoing searches will be conducted at various schools in the UGU cluster to curb the use of drugs among pupils,” said Wiid. -Supplied.
