VARIOUS artistic expressions were exhibited at the Cyassound Arts and Culture Expo at Ugu Sport and Leisure Centre on Thursday evening.

Artists from various genres, including traditional dance, jazz and fine arts, showcased their work. The organisers said the event was a good initiative as it demonstrated the Ugu jazz weekend’s deeper cause. “We don’t want the festival to seem like a just a commercial event, so this is why we organised the expo in order to communicate and exhibit our artistry,” said Cyassound owner Siyabonga Msomi.

He said the event would be better marketed and communicated in future so that it attracts a bigger crowd.
