Bad roads, litter and Nkandla

2015-08-06 06:00

IT is with dismay and disgust that I see the deterioration of the tar roads in Umtentweni, specifically the potholes on Auben Road. Others are also showing signs of potholes starting.

I guess this is not surprising as our municipality, in dealing with road repairs, have got no money due to the fact that all monies are diverted for use by (dis)honourable President Jacob Zuma. The money goes to Nkandla with all its amenities and luxuries.

He is the highest paid president in Africa while all he does is piss people off with his doings.

Each of his multiple wives gets a top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz. That’s why I got rid of mine.

I’m also dismayed by the littering on the side of our roads, with people throwing out empty bottles and cans.

I, as a slightly disabled person, upset other drivers when I stop to pick up the litter.

I sincerely hope these practices will stop. In Japan you get a fine for littering.
