IT was a day filled with excitement for Bargain Express Port Shepstone on Saturday when the store gave away a Hyundai i10 to one lucky-draw customer.

Customers rushed into the store to do their last-minute shopping in order to qualify for the draw which took place around midday.

Many Port Shepstone customers were given vouchers for taking part in pre-draw activities, co-ordinated by M.C Muthu Murugan.

Murugan called customers to the stage which was set at Dick King Square parking lot and asked them to dance and participate in various obstacles.

Makhosi Mhlongo kept customers on their feet as she made them sing along to Brenda Fassie music.

When draw time neared five lucky finalists were drawn, with each finalist choosing an envelope which he or she wished would have the key to unlock the vehicle.

Cheryl Bowla of Marburg was the lucky lady whose key opened the car.

The runner-up walked away with R1 000 in shopping vouchers.

Bargain Xpress customers were overwhelmed by the treatment they received at the outlet and said Bargains is definitely the best shop in Port Shepstone
