SUPER600 rider, Blaze Baker, is one of the stars who will be “blazing” the racetrack at the upcoming DEOD SuperGP Champions at Dezzi’s South Coast Raceway on 19 September.

The 17-year-old has done well this season and has finished on the podium a number of times.

Pinetown-based Baker started his professional racing career in 2010 and has never looked back.

“In 2011 I moved to Gauteng where I did most of my competing and then in 2013 I went national,” said Blaze.

The Westville Boys’ High matric pupil says the highlight of his career and his proudest moment was when he finished second twice in last year’s Durban Street Race which was held at the old airport.

“The upcoming DEOD SuperGP Champions is quite exciting and I’m looking forward to doing well with the support from spectators.”

After conquering the local super bike scene, he aims to compete in the international champions and make his name known and revered
