Celebrate African culture

2015-09-10 06:00

THE Amakhono Arts and Culture Festival will be taking place on 19 September at the Bhuqu sports ground in Bhomela.

Dudu Malinga from the Amakhono Arts and Culture Association and Ugu South Coast Tourism invite the South Coast community to experience African culture through a variety of activities on the day.

Activities include a tour of the village.

“There will be plenty of indigenous, traditional music, dance and a diverse selection of African food and Zulu beer,” said Malinga.

“Visitors will visit the waterfall and traditional ‘beach’ and the Mdlungwana and Ntantana mountains,” she said.

Malinga encouraged South Coasters to be part of this festival-celebrating heritage.

She urged visitors to support crafters who will have stands at the event. - Supplied
