“I DIDN’T expect to enjoy the trip through the gorge, but the views were awesome and I loved the narrow, winding roads that made me realise we were on a real adventure,” said 17-year-old Sihle Khubeka.

Twelve children from Reach for a Dream in Durban were treated to a fun day on the South Coast on Thursday.

Paul Jeffreys, owner of Wild 5 Adventures started this special day for the children by arranging two activities - the suspension bridge, 100 metres high, 84 metres long) and the wild slide (165 metres above the treetops).

Each child received magazines - Animaltalk and TeenZone - donated by Panorama Media Corp. The group later had lunch courtesy of the Oribi Gorge Hotel.

Adding to this, the Beekman Group sponsored transport for the children, and their six guardians on the day.

Reach for a Dream extends a heartfelt thanks to Carol at Oribi Gorge Hotel for the lunch and the extra special touches that were added. It made the boys feel welcome and loved.

They also thanked Jeffreys and Luke Williamson of Wild 5 Adventures and Claudia Sherrin Animaltalk and TeenZone.

The Beekman Group is also thanked for incurring the transport costs.
