Coast must get ready for the holidays

2015-10-01 06:00

THE December holidays are around the corner and one can only hope that potholes are fixed, verges are trimmed and the town is looks neat and tidy. This should be done not only for our visitors, but for us ratepayers who live here too.

I often see potholes being fixed in mid-season, causing traffic jams and creating inconvenience.

Surely this can be done before the mad rush to the shopping malls and beaches begins.

Water interruptions, although they occur throughout the year, also seem to be problem during this time as the demand is higher.

Businesses lose money and clients swear they will never visit the area again.

The South Coast also loses potential property investors.

Both municipalities have a few months left to try and make sure that these problems are avoided or that there’s a plan a, b, c and d in place.
