MARGATE Methodist Church handed over R1 085 to Cansa on Tuesday after raising funds at its Cuppa for Cansa at the church on Saturday.

Pastor Denise Adams said the event was a success.“We had a delightful afternoon where we sold tickets at R10 for a cup of tea and cake. We also had the Hibiscus choir singing at the event to assist us in raising funds.”

Adams said the people who attended Cuppa gave extra donations as many church members are affected by cancer.

“We thank the church for taking such a thoughtful initiative to help us raise funds to continue with the work we do on the South Coast, creating awareness, educating and supporting our cancer survivors,” said Sesethu Senene from Cansa
