ONE lucky bride-to-be walked away with the grand prize worth R15 000 at the South Coast Bridal Festival on Saturday.

The festival was held at Izotsha Creek, a popular wedding venue on the lower South Coast.

The highlight of the day was the fashion show and the main prize draw.

When Phumla Tshingo was called to the stage to collect her prize, she was at first baffled and didn’t realise extactly what she had won.

When one of the organisers of the festival, Angelique Bennie, told her about the wonderful gift she had just won, Tshingo jumped for joy and danced. Her big day is coming up in November.

Prior to the main prize draw, models showcased exquisite gowns from three bridal houses
