Food festival offers eats from around the world

CHRIST the King Catholic Church will hold its international­ food festival on Saturday, 30 May.

Get down to St Martin de Porres School in Port Shepstone and taste some of the world’s finest cuisine.

There will be dishes India, Italy, Portugal and traditional African food. A fee of R10 per taste at the food stalls applies.

The tea garden will sell hot and cold beverages and cakes.

If you’re the family cake boss, put your best cake or cupcake recipe to the test and enter the cake-baking competition.

The rule is that these treats must be baked by the competitor and delivered to the school by 10am.

This will be a donation to the church.

Stalls are available at a cost of R200 however, stallholders are permitted to sell anything besides food items.

Entry is free to the event.
