THE name “Thamsanqa ‘Bhoko’ Mbhele” is now on the lips of many South Coast football fans after they saw him play in a team with players from the ABC Motsepe League at Mabhikili sports field recently.

He appears to be blessed with pace, vision, technical ability and an abundance of work ethic which is what most South African players lack.

There had been rumours about his next destination and of course it makes sense that tongues have been wagging about whether who is going to snatch the 21-year-old Umzumbe- born youngster.

Despite scoring two corners directly from the corner spot in the game, he wasn’t happy about his performance and felt he could have done better. “I know it is too early for me to say this, but I’ll surprise a lot of people. “My dream is to play for Mamelodi Sundowns and I think I’m good enough to play with the best footballers in the country.”

Some have already predicted that Golden Arrows, AmaZulu FC and Royal Eagles might be his next move. The South Coast has produced the likes of Manqoba Mkhize, Siyabonga Nomvethe, Vumani Mvundla, who once played for Benoni Premier United, the late Zamokwakhe Hlophe and Orlando Pirates’ Ayanda Gcaba. - Stanley Hlophe.
