UNDER the theme “Making Education Fashionable” PhumlaniM Foundation visited Nkonka High in Murchison on Friday 5 June.

The visit was part of the career guidance and mentorship programme for local pupils.

“We chose June because it is the month to celebrate and commemorate June 16, 1976, commonly known as the Soweto Uprising. As the foundation, our belief is that the best gift we can give to our fallen heroes is to be educated and liberate ourselves from economic oppression,” said Phumlani Mzobe founder of PhumlaniM Foundation.

Many young professionals from various fields such as accounting, horticulture, microbiology, political science, law, health sciences and others joined in the visit.

Zama Zindela, PhumlaniM Foundation director, reminded pupils that education is the most suitable weapon they can possess, saying that the future is in their hands.

Murchison pupils were motivated and inspired and most confessed that they will now work harder to achieve better marks and points in order to qualify for their preferred tertiary studies.

Mzobe said they will visit other schools and he encourages graduates and professionals to join in and help better the future of the youth.
