PhumlaniM Foundation launched its “Her2Her Connect Project” on Sunday 5July at Margate Hotel under the theme “the Inner strength of a purposeful woman”.

As the foundation we have noticed that insecurities, fear, lack of self-confidence and the need to belong, to mention a few, are some of the many adjectives that can be used to describe young girls or women residing in society,” said Phumlani Mzobe founder of PhumalaniM foundation.

Guest speaker Sne Khuzwayo, a 24-year-old from Gamalakhe, also a director for communications and marketing at PhumlaniM Foundation, highlighted important points - the need for young girls and women to love themselves, educate themselves as well as persevere and never give up on their dreams but most importantly themselves.

Her2Her Connect is new project led by Nandisa Ngubelanga which aims to provide a platform for young females to communicate, bond and connect on a deeper level whiles tackling some of the issues that they face on a day to day basis.

Embracing the “high tee” theme, the young girls looked stunning in their hats and dresses. The vision for Her2Her Connect is to work toward a generation of confident young women, embracing their individuality, practice self-love and appreciate and know their worth.

The event was supported by The Blacksuit Gentlemen Club of the PhumlaniM Foundation, Nkele Maake (software development specialist) and Bongiwe Ngubelanga (teacher and life-coaching trainee).

The feedback received by attendees depicts that the event achieved its goal, which was to empower young girls towards their self-embitterment and success. - Supplied
