Invitation for national patrol

2015-09-24 06:00

AFRIFORUM is a civil rights organisation that focuses on three main portfolios - community safety, environmental affairs and local government affairs.

The AfriForum branch in Margate is a well-established branch representing our community members.

We extend this invitation to the SAPS at the local station and relevant CPFs and neighbourhood watches for co-operation during our national patrol campaign in all towns where safety networks exist.

There are more than 21 communities and their local police stations along the South Coast that are taking part.

The reason for this national patrol is to increase visibility in our towns and to show criminals that the area is patrolled frequently to keep the neighbourhood safe.

The local police can assist with arrests and searches and reservist can also be deployed for assistance if possible.

Local security companies and CPFs are also welcome to join the campaign.

We are an inclusive organisation and would like to include as many organisations and anti-crime groups as possible from all sectors of the community.

AfriForum hereby formally invites all relevant parties to participate in our national patrol.
