Lions golf day ends on a ‘SWEET’ note

The 2015 Port Shepstone Lions­-Illovo Sugar Golf Day on Saturday 20 June was a great success.

There was a full field of players and main sponsors, Illovo Sugar, donated R30 000 to the Lions Club of Port Shepstone for their community service projects. The club is grateful to Illovo Sugar and the Port Shepstone Country Club as well as other sponsors and golfers who contributed towards the success of this annual project. Well done to project convener Lion Gary Vogt and his team for their fine efforts.

Naveshin Moodley and Benny Pillay won the competition on 48 points. In second place on 47 points oco were Charles Crebo and Rakesh Chathagoon.

Paul and Jean van Tichelen finished third on 47 points, with Ramo Nohar and Pranesh Maharaj fourth on 47 points

Nearest to the pin were Det Wichmann on hole number five, Gerhard Oosthuizen on hole number 14 and Jaco Buitendag on hole number 17.
