PORT SHEPSTONE Secondary pupils held Mandela Month activities at the school on Friday to raise funds for non-profit organisations on the South Coast.

Each activity was given a name, for example “Walk your Talk” was where pupils wore takkies to school and had to pay a fee for the fund-raiser.

“Grand Grey” was a sprayathon in respect of Nelson Mandela’s grey hair.

There was also “Open Hearts” where pupils brought old clothes and toys to be donated to NPOs.

Grade 10 A teacher Ms I. Ramdeen said she has never seen her pupils so happy to donate and help the needy
