THE Paddock Polocrosse Club is going bigger and better this year as it hosts the South African Inter-Provincial Championships at The Rust Bucket, Oribi Museum.

The tournament will be held over three days. from 8 to 10 August and players from throughout the country will be descending on the South Coast to participate.

Teams range from U14 to Open, menand#039;s and ladies’ divisions. A minimum of 132 players are expected to take part. A night-time “PeeWee” game will be played under flood lights on Saturday night as part of the annual Paddock Highlight. This will give the new up-and-up-coming PeeWee players a time to shine.

Food will be on sale at Jeanieand#039;s at the Bucket Bites Kitchen. Beer and other beverages will be served by The Rust Bucket all weekend. There will also be a children’s jumping castle and play area.

South Africa hosted the Polocrosse World Cup recently from 3 to 12 July at Durban Shongweni Club and South Africa claimed their second World Cup title. Seven countries participated - Australia, South Africa, USA, United Kingdom, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Zambia and New Zealand.
