A TOY poodle and a Border Collie have brought fame to Hibiscus Kennel Club after they competed in the KZN Championships at the Royal Show in Pietermaritzburg last week. “It was Swish’s first show where he could enter all three disciplines as he has only just turned 18 months,” said Jenny Robertson. She said Swish showed everyone he is a star in the making by bringing home the small dog contact championship award. “What makes this even more noteworthy is that Swish was home schooled with the assistance of her handler’s mother and a movie camera. His older sister Sparkle, a steady five-year-old Border Collie, who is a little slow in the weaving poles, showed everyone that steady brings good results and she won the non-contact round for large dogs as well as the medium dog jumping round.”

Hibiscus Kennel Club members meet on Saturday afternoon at 30pm at the Port Shepstone borough field. - Supplied.
