SAPS Wellness event to be held

A POLMED Wellness Day will be held at the Port Shepstone Employee Health and Wellness offices on Thursday and Friday.

The purpose of the event is to drive the Polmed Preventative Benefits and Chronic Medicine Programmes and offer free services to Polmed members and their beneficiaries. Retired Polmed members are also invited to attend.

The following tests will be done at the event - glucose screening for diabetes, cholesterol screening, body mass index assessments (BMI), blood pressure test, dental screening, optical screening, flu vaccines, and renal screening. HIV/Aids screening as well as pre- and post- counselling will be conducted.

Members will receive a goodie bag upon completion of their tests. A back-pack will be given to members who take part in the HCT (HIV counselling and testing). Members must bring along their Polmed cards when attending the event. This is for registration purposes. - Supplied
