SAPS officers recovered a stolen vehicle in Hibberdene on Thursday.

Warrant Officer Hendrik Ludick, Sergeant Rudi Smit, Constable Sibonelo Cele and Constable Zonwabele Mpofana, attached to the Port Shepstone 10111 call centre in Port Shepstone, acted on a tracking device that was activated regarding a stolen vehicle.

“They proceeded to the Hibberdene policing area and traced the vehicle to a rural area. Upon checking the vehicle, it was established that the minibus was reported stolen the same morning in the Isipingo area,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

She added that two men were taken in for questioning and will face charges of possession of stolen property.

The vehicle was impounded by police, pending further investigation. - Supplied
