THE Maha Vishnu Temple thanks all businesses, organisations, patrons and the community of Port Shepstone for contributing towards the success of the temple’s first golf day which was held at the Port Shepstone Country Club recently.

Chairman of the temple, Niresh Govender, said he was proud of the hard work and dedication shown by the executive committee - Reggie Chetty, Sagie Arjoon, Krinesh and Prenesan Perumal and Deon Chetty.

“The members of the temple, the country club and convener, Preggie Perumal, were overwhelmed by the proceeds which were much needed for the upkeep of the temple, assisting those less fortunate as well as aiding other organisations,” said Govender.

The temple invites the public to its Ganesha prayer on Thursday, 17 September at 7pm and to the Raam Bhajan on 19 September starting at 6pm. All are welcome and supper will be served. The temple chariot will be doing its rounds on Saturday, 19 September from 8am. A blessed fast to all those observing the festival of Purtassi. - Supplied
