ANY cat owner knows that a litter tray can be unsightly inside the home. If your cat doesnand#039;t do its business outdoors, or doesnand#039;t have easy access to go outside, a litter tray is the only option.

If this is the case, the litter tray should be out of sight and out of the way.

DIY ideas you can consider:

- Using a jigsaw or sabre saw, cut out an opening in kitchen cupboard doors if you have a cupboard to spare. This method allows easy access for your kitty and also allows you to easily clean out the litter tray as and when required.

If your cutting skills are limited, you can restrict the access point to a simple rectangle or square shape.

- Another solution is to buy or make a freestanding cabinet to hold the litter box. Cutting out an opening in the side allows easy access for your pet and keeps the litter box out of sight.

- A plywood cupboard is just the thing for a modern home and you can easily “knock it up” in a day. When buying plywood, check the quality of the board before you buy. There are many inferior products on the market, and when making furniture you want to go for a better quality marine plywood.

If you donand#039;t want to go the route of having to make your own cupboard, there are plenty of ready-made kitchen cabinet suppliers that offer a range of cabinets and cupboards. - Property24.
