MARGATE SAPS are looking for help identifying a body found at Wilson’s Cutting in Ezinqoleni on 23 May.

Two Ezinqoleni men, Dirk Pretorious and Johannes Barnard are currently in police custody over the murder.

Pretorious and Barnard say they met the deceased in Hibberdene and he asked them to transport him to Harding to pick up some cash. On the way the deceased is said to have started smoking heroin mixed with whoonga in the car.

The two then reprimanded him for it but he continued. Barnard then allegedly stabbed him to death with a knife. The deceased, currently kept at Harding morgue is white, male and believed to be in his forties.

Any members of the public who believe they can identify him are urged to contact Ezinqoleni police station branch commissioner Captain Ngcobo on 039 534 1022.
