BARGAIN Wholesalers gave back to the community of wards identified by Hibiscus Coast Municipality Special Programmes department for its Operation Sukuma Sakhe (OPPS) projects.

The municipality identified elderly people from Wards 21, 22 and 23 in the Bhobhoyi, Murchison and Bhomela areas and gave them walking sticks, wheelchairs (one to each ward) and blankets.

The initiative was partnered with the Al-Imdaad Foundation which works with the provincial government to eradicate poverty.

Hassan Shezi, the Al-Imdaad Foundation’s project co-ordinator on poverty eradication, said the foundation and Bargain Wholesalers implemented operation “Winter warmth” on Hibiscus Coast.

“The foundation is thankful to Bargain Wholesalers for executing its social responsibility, in partnership with OPSS and the mayor’s office,” said Shezi.

Sokalezwe Bhani, Bargain HR manager, said they are happy to work with Operation Sukuma Sakhe
