AN 18-month-old baby was among the five who were injured in an accident in Hibberdene on Saturday.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Craig Botha said paramedics were called at 1.06pm to respond to a vehicle that had overturned on the N2.

“After triaging the injured they found that two people sustained serious injuries while three other escaped with minor injuries, among the injured were an 18-month-old-baby,” said Botha.

Medics from Netcare 911, Medivac and the provincial services stabilised the injured at the scene before they transported them to a Port Shepstone hospital.

On Tuesday afternoon, one person sustained moderate injuries after a taxi collided with a car on Marine Drive in Shelly Beach.

Netcare 911 paramedics stabilised the injured woman on scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital.

Reports from the scene indicate that there were no passengers in the taxi at the time of the accident.

The driver of the taxi did not sustain any injuries. - Supplied.
