WAYNE and Julie Tarr recently opened the doors of Giant South Coast at the Southcoast Mall in Shelly Beach. This is KZN's first and South Africa's third Giant Concept Store.
The Tarrs have owned Wayne's World, a cycling and fishing store in Kokstad for the past five years, but have now moved to the South Coast.

Giant South Coast is privileged to have the backing of Dragons Sports, the SA importer of Giant Bicycles, in taking the brand to a new level locally and on an equivalent format to the international Giant Concept Stores. Giant is the world’s largest bike manufacturer and produces bicycles to suit everyone’s requirements.

A full range of Giant, Liv (Giant's brand for ladies) and Avalanche bikes are in store at Giant South Coast, catering for every need, from children’s 12" bikes up to professional-level carbon road and mountain bikes. It also has a comprehensive workshop where repairs on any bike brand are carried out, and suspension fork and shock servicing is done in-store by Wayne.

A first, worldwide, is the fact that Giant South Coast also boasts a fresh water angling section.
Wayne, a former elite triathlete and duathlete, is now a competitive veteran cyclist, as well as a Protea Bass Angler. He is on hand at the shop to ensure that customers receive the best advice and service in both the cycling and angling fields.

After opening for trade on 1 November Wayne and Julie say they have been overwhelmed by the warm reception and positive response from the South Coasters and look forward to becoming part of the friendly community.
