THE WOW Factors Talk Show host Tessa Green of Pink Couch says that after the long break, she is back and will be hosting a show on relationships at end of the month.

Green’s last show was held in July last year and she now feels that another show is well-deserved by the community of the South Coast, especially because February is the month of love.

Green says she was away because of an illness but with prayer and a number of visits to the doctors, she is back to get those shows rolling.

“I have a plan to take the South Coast by storm this year with a show every month, with the hope of building lives, relationships, communities and a society driven to eradicate social ills through conversation and action,” said Green.

She said one morning she was unable to move her legs as she was paralysed from the waist down.

“I was rushed to hospital to find out my calcium levels were critically low. This comes after an operation I had in 2004 where they removed a parathyroid gland from my body which produces calcium. So over the years my calcium was getting used up. X-rays showed that my bones are brittle and my spine is crumbling. I spent a few months in a wheelchair, then with crutches and a back brace,” she said.

Green said she attempted doing two shows on her crutches but the work was too much and she could not get around.

With all that, she said God is good and with all the prayers from family and friends, and help from Port Shepstone Regional Hospital doctors, she is recovering.

“I am back and walking on my own without crutches. I have bad days with pain, but besides that I’m back and can’t wait to be on the couch sharing some stories,” she said.

Green said she has more good news to announce and it has come at a good time. “I found love in all of my illness. My partner is now driving the show, a major sponsor and pushing me to go forward with the plans because the South Coast needs a voice and the charities aiding our society need assistance,” said Green.

The date of the next show will be announced soon. Green can be contacted at 076 506 1943.
