THE final leg of the Best Couple on the Coast competition was held at Southcoast Mall on Saturday.

Dayne Brazil and Samantha Cockcroft walked away with the title and the grand prize of an all-inclusive getaway to Mavela Game Lodge.

The runner-up couples - Shawn Stewart and Kirsten Vogt and Naren and Jody Sunker - received consolation prizes sponsored by Food Lover’s Market and Torga Optical.

The competition saw the couples go head-to-head as they took on a series of physical and mental challenges designed to test their relationship and teamwork abilities.

For the first challenge the men were tasked with unpacking the boots of three Mobilo vehicles, sponsored by Honda Auto Shelly Beach, filled with items sponsored by Builders Express.

The women were then challenged to change a tyre and the gents had to repack the boots with the items.

The second challenge required contestants to put on their dancing shoes and each couple had to dance from the one side of the stage to the other, while collecting a set of roses.

For the final challenge the couples had to demonstrate their teamwork skills in a three-legged race, where they had to move roses from one side of the stage to the other in the fastest time.

Southcoast Mall would like to thank the sponsors for contributing to the success of the competition.
