THE first set of wheels, a brand-new Kia Picanto, was given away at Bargain Xpress Manaba on Saturday.

A regular shopper and huge fan of the store, YG Ghebreyohannes, was ecstatic when the key he chose opened the door to his car.

“I love shopping at Bargain Xpress Manaba. The staff are friendly, the service is tops and most importantly, the prices are much cheaper than other stores,” he said.

Ghebreyohannes has been living in Margate for five years and owns a mini supermarket in the area, but still finds himself drawn to Bargains.

“It’s a good shopping experience,” he said.

Ghebreyohannes said he needed a new car as the one he owns is unreliable. His new ride will now enable him to commute without worry and also assist to run his business efficiently.

During the build-up to the draw emcee and comedian, Muthu Murugan, and his crew kept the crowd entertained with comedy and prize giveaways.

Hampers from different suppliers as well as shopping vouchers from Bargain Xpress were handed out to shoppers who participated in Murugan’s fun activities.

Suppliers also held promotions and ran specials which many shoppers took advantage of.

There are two more cars to be given away — one at Bargain Xpress Izingolweni on Saturday, March 11 and the other at Bargain Xpress Port Shepstone on Saturday, March 18. To enter, see in-store for details.
