Better ball tournament held

CLOSE to a 100 golfers participated in the Wild Coast Better Ball Tournament which was held recently.

Organiser Annette Thorold said she would like to thank all the participants for supporting the tournament. The next tournament will be held on May 27 and the cost is only R300 per player which includes green fees, competition fee and sharing of a golf cart.

Tee off times are from 8.30 am on both tees.

The results for the last tournament were as follows:

1st — winning on a count out — 46 pts — Jacques Kruger and Darryl Herman.

2nd — Oco — 46 pts — Mark Ferguson and Ivan Bharath.

3rd — oco — 46 pts — Ken Cummins and Meshack Ndlovu.

4th — winning the count out on 45 pts — Herran Chellan and Dennis Thathiah.

5th oco — 45 pts — Zuanry Coetzee and Ryno van Niekerk.

6th — winning the count out on 44 — Jerry R and Thumba G.

In addition to the monthly prizes there will be a draw for a quarterly prize for golfers that have played all three tournaments in the period. There will also be a grand prize drawn at the End of the Year tournament, for the golfer who has attended the most tournaments throughout the year.

“We have the Wild Coast Sun and Royal Swazi Sun on board for 2018 with lovely prizes.

“Remember to play as many tournaments as you can, as the year-end prize for the golfer who plays the most tournaments, will be very special,” said Thorold.

Thorold said that she would like to remind those that would like to make a booking for a group of more than 20 golfers, any time of the week, not to hesitate.
