THE Paddock Club Off-Road Motorbike Fun Ride last Sunday at Hillstream Estates was another great success.

There were a total of 95 entrants of which 55 tackled the approximate 25km “Experienced” track, 32 enjoyed the approximate 10km “Novice-Intermediate” track and seven young riders practiced their skills on the about two-kilometre “Pee-Wee” track.

The Novice and Experienced tracks turned out to be challenging after the huge rains a few weeks ago.

One of the top riders commented about the Experienced track being one of the best rides he has done in a while.

“A big thank you to our main sponsors, County Ford, ALS Cartage, New Holland, Sherco and Kenny,” said Angus Adie, one event organisers.

The new Paddock Extreme Enduro-X Track was huge success.

“This track was full of obstacles such as tyre and log pits, a rock garden, massive tyres, pipes and log obstacles and the 21 brave riders found it very challenging,” he said.

It was great entertainment for spectators to watch some local farmers, amateur riders and youngsters competing against the likes of South Africa’s top riders.

After two gruelling heats Wade Young blasted into first place, Scott Bouverie came second and Kyle Flanagan, third.

Congratulations also to the winners of the second class riders, Hansie Wagenaar (first), Josh Bailey (second) and Josh Henderson (third).

“A big thank you to all the riders, spectators and sponsors of the day,” he added. - Supplied.
