Bird lovers ‘Walk and Talk’ next week

2015-11-11 06:01

MPENJATI Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Honorary officers have organised the third “Walk and Talk” on 7 November, starting at 8.30am for 9am.

“The subject is birds and bird identification and all are encouraged to come along,” said Nita Dobson, secretary for Ezemvelo.

“The talk will be educational and informative. Thereafter a walk through the south bank of the Mpenjati Reserve will commence,” she added.

Those interested must meet at the “Whitehouse”.

“This is an ideal opportunity to brush up on bird ID skills in preparation for national Big Birding Day on 28 November.”

Cost is R25 for adults and R15 per child, which includes the entrance fee to the reserve.

Participants will receive a cup of tea or coffee before the walk. Cool drinks and bottles of water will also be on sale.

Bring hats and sun screen. No dogs allowed.
