MARGATE-BASED youth organisations God Coast Entertainment and Life Zone Foundation will be hosting the first annual Potsho event at the Seaslopes business complex in Margate, ext. 3 on Saturday, June 16.

The event will see young people from Margate and surrounds participating in soccer games followed by a music concert to seal off the day in commemoration of the historic Youth Day celebrated all across the country.

Organiser Snesipho Bentswa said the event was organised in order to discourage young people from engaging in “dubious drinking” and other habits as they normally did on the day.

“The aim of the event is to be the bridge that connects the true essence of Youth Day to true youth development in our community,” said Bentswa.

A cash prize of R1 200 will be given to the winning team of the eight on eight soccer knockout challenge at the end of the tournament. For more information contact Bentswa on 079 821 5815.
