Cansa to host run for men’s health

2015-11-26 06:00

FOLLOWING Men’s Health Month, which was in June, Cansa Port Shepstone will be holding a fun run to raise funds for prostate cancer screenings.

The race will be held at the St Martins De Porres sports ground next Sunday.

Sesethu Senene of Cansa said everyone, including fathers and sons and families, is invited to participate.

“Anyone can take part, however, if a family wants to participate they can enter as a group.”

Men who enter must be over the age of 40, which will qualify him to be screened.

“If a family enters, there has to be a man over the age of 40 in the team. Friends can enter, but if there are two men over the age of 40 among the friends, they will have to enter individually. Every ticket purchased guarantees screening for one 40+ man,” she said.

In addition to the run, there will be entertainment and raffles.

Tickets are R200 per entry, available at the Cansa offices at 7 Scott Street.
