PORT Shepstone Child Welfare held an end-of-Women’s-Month function at St Katherines Anglican Church on Tuesday. Women from communities around Port Shepstone were pampered with manicures, massages, health checks and presentation and talks from Legal Aid, the Shelley Beach Full Gospel Church, Dr Ciller Smith and Michelle Haistie under the theme “Women of Worth”.

Child Welfare manager Sagree Naicker said the day was organised to care for people who were usually carers. “Most of the people here today are carers of orphans, the sickly or their grandchildren. We wanted to give them this treat for Women’s Month just to remind them of their worth,” said Naicker.
