THE South Coast Toyo Club is seeking the community’s assistance in collecting food and other essential items for the needy as they embark on a new charity drive this winter.

The club was founded two years ago by a group of young men, not only with a passion for Toyotas but also with a passion for people. One of their aims is to assist in community development.

During the two years of the organisation’s establishment, successful fundraising events were organised. The South Coast Toyo Club works with community members in hosting regular drives to collect food items and then distribute them among orphanages, safe houses and families which are in need of assistance.

“We are for the people, and we assist in maintaining the well-being of our community.

“Many families face turmoil and it becomes more difficult during winter where food and blankets are in need,” said Rouen Govender from the club. The South Coast Toyo Club urges the public to assist in the collection of food items during their drive. If there are any families you know of or organisations in need of assistance contact Rouen Govender on 076 465 5552 or Prenasan 078 413 9827.
