GAMALAKHE Keg Warriors, formerly Gamalakhe Cricket Club, is looking for cricketers between the ages of 15 and 28, who are interested in participating in the 2016/2017 Southern Natal Cricket Union (SNCU), T20 and 50-over competitions.

Sphelele Mbuyisa, chair of Gamalakhe Keg Warriors said the team was renamed after Margate Keg Pub and Restaurant became its main sponsor.

Seeking to unearth more black players, Mbuyisa said they will be holding trials for the first team on 28 September at Olwandle High School in Gamalakhe from 3pm to 6pm.

“The team is looking forward to welcoming the future Temba Bavumas and Kagiso Rabadas to our team for the upcoming season as we aim to uplift township cricket development and building a winning team of black South Africans on the lower South Coast,” said Mbuyisa.

Interested players must SMS him with the letters “GKW”, followed by their name and surname and contact details to 078 622 8002. If those interested have an email address that can also be added.
