MURCHISON District Hospital informed the community of services provided by the hospital and the Health Department at its annual open day, or imbizo, on November 29.

According to hospital PRO Busisiwe Cele, the annual imbizo is aimed at giving the community an opportunity to raise its concerns about the health service delivered to the public.

The platform was also a great opportunity to educate and inform the community of issues around the six key priority areas identified by the MEC for Health in KwaZulu-Natal.

CEO of Murchison Hospital Edward Manyokole was also present at the event, and he encouraged the community to continue to participate in these engagements.

“We encourage the community of Murchison and surrounding areas to use such platforms in order to improve on service delivery as the inputs and the engagements from the community are of great importance,” said Manyokole.
