PORT Shepstone Detective Service are asking for community assistance in their investigation of two cases of fraud.

In one case, a 60-year-old resident who was processing a transaction at an ATM was defrauded by an unknown man.

The old man’s card jammed and an unknown person offered assistance. It was later discovered that a substantial amount of money was thereafter withdrawn from the victim’s account.

In a separate case, a female believed to be from Ezinqoleni applied for a personal loan at a bank in Port Shepstone CBD using false information.

Police believe that Phindile Janet Ngidi could possibly provide information on the case.

The public can contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Heidi van der Merwe on 039 688 1183 or 079 500 1428 with any information. — Supplied.
