SHERREN Paul of Ultimate Dance Fitness handed over funds to deserving organisations she and her team raised at a fund-raising event on Women’s Day at Park Rynie beach.
The handover took place last Saturday and the beneficiaries were the Jes Ford Foundation, GJ Crookes Hospital Crisis Centre (Siyamakelela) and the Scottburgh SAPS Victim Friendly Facility.
Lieutenant-Colonel Vino Govender and Captain Vijay Moodley of the Scottburgh SAPS accepted R3 500 from Paul. The donation will be used to improve the SAPS Place of Safety, a facility used for the protection of abuse victims.
Lieutenant-Colonel Kishore Giani said the facility will benefit greatly from his experience and expertise acquired during his previous post as Commander of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit.
The Scottburgh SAPS conveyed it thanks and appreciation to Paul and Ultimate Dance Fitness for their contribution towards supporting and improving the lives of abused women and children and victims of crime.
