THE SAPS welcomed the sentence meted out to a convicted drug dealer last week and hope it will deter others from dealing in drugs.
Nkosinathi Emmanuel Myende (34) appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 22 July where he was convicted of dealing in drugs and sentenced to six years imprisonment, half of which was suspended for five years.

The Scottburgh SAPS Station Commander, Lieutenant- Colonel Praga Naicker, commended Warrant Officer Deena Govender for the arrest and subsequent conviction and sentencing of the drug dealer.
“Our members work tirelessly to rid our communities of drugs. Numerous drug-related arrests were effected recently and I urge them to intensify their efforts to keep our streets free of drugs,” said Naicker.
