THE holiday spirit was in full swing at the Easter Beach Festival held at the Margate beach this weekend.

Holiday makers participated in the various beach sports and fun activities hosted for the whole family.

While some enjoyed basking on the shore, the music and performances, others got down and dirty in the beach volleyball, tennis and touch rugby tournaments to earn bragging rights for their teams.

Winners of the touch rugby on Saturday Barry Malan, Riaan Smith and twin brothers Johan and Andre Le Roux, said they were having the time of their lives on the South Coast this Easter.

“We are originally from Bloemfontien in the Free State, but we are really enjoying ourselves and we got to show off our touch rugby skills, representing ‘Team Ruirus,” said Riaan Smith.
