IT was with great sadness the South Coast Fever learnt of the death of a former colleague, Greg Nota, over the weekend. Greg had transferred from Port Shepstone to the Eastern Cape division where he edited our Xhosa sister newspapers.

We wish his family, friends and loved ones well in this difficult time.

May a solution soon be found to this salty water dilemma we are facing before more people take advantage of the situation for financial gain.

The municipality needs to come up with a plan, and fast. We have heard generic statements that we have been provided with, now it is time for action before disease, caused by lack of proper sanitation, takes over.

Would our health facilities cope if even five percent of the South Coast population got sick at the same time and needed urgent care?

Next week is Diwali and we wish our Hindu readers a very blessed one.
