Editorial comment

THE past few days have brought both good and bad news.

The goods news relates to clean audits received by a few entities on the South Coast, which include Ugu District Municipality, Umzumbe Municipality and Ugu Tourism. They need to be commended for their books that don’t contain suspicious and questionable transactions.

To achieve this obviously means getting suitably qualified people to do the job, not political deployment.

The bad news is that as we start the festive season we have witnessed some gruesome accidents on our roads.

This past weekend was one of the bloodiest this year, thanks mostly to wet roads.

Please keep your eyes peeled whether you are a driver or a pedestrian on the roads.

Your life depends on it.
