IT seems there are some people who still think that rules are made to be broken. This week the Fever established that some people and businesses do not adhere to the water restrictions and regulations imposed by Ugu District Municipality.

This was done to ensure that we save the little water we have in this drought we are experiencing. The municipality feels that this does not need to be policed as we are all adults and are aware of the water crisis.

We urge everyone to be good citizens and preserve water.

In the recent weeks, two stories gained tremendous popularity on Facebook - the Southport chicken farm and SAPS destroy 6500 dagga plants in Umzinto recently. We are still waiting to hear what will happen to the owner of the farm. We hope he will be tried and prosecuted for cruelty to animals.
