It’s been a tough week for Ugu with all the financial woes, but we now look forward to the turnaround plan. The well-being of a municipality affects all residents, so we are all hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel. On the bright side, congratulations to the South Coast beaches for achieving Blue Flag status once again.

I want to send out a special thank you to Angie Milroy for sharing her story with us about her battle with breast cancer. South Coast Fever fully supports Breast Cancer Awareness month and we hope this story will inspire others out there. We are also particularly proud of our bright young leaders at Sheppie high who not only represented Port Shepstone at the SAASTA debating finals, but scooped third place in the entire country! We need more individuals like these to take South Africa to new heights.

Happy reading
