Editor’s note

2018-12-27 06:00

This our last edition for the year, and what a great year it has been! As a late joiner to the Fever family, it seems almost too soon to be wrapping up. I would like to thank the South Coast readers for their continuing support, our team here at the South Coast Fever for your hard work, and all the municipality officials, safety and policing officers, paramedics and lifeguards, social workers, and NPOs for your selfless efforts in assisting those in need throughout the year.

The Fever office will be closed from December 21 until January 4. Look out for our first paper of the New Year on Thursday, January 10. In the meantime, our Facebook page will still be active, so you may still reach us there and follow us for breaking news updates.

The very first South Coast Carnival took place recently, and was a good show for the inaugural event. Well done to the organisers, and we all look forward to a bigger and better carnival next year. We are also extremely happy for the Farquason family, who has found a home just in time for Christmas, after fearing that they would be homeless. It goes to show that a little generosity goes a long way. On that note, happy holidays. Spread the gift of giving this festive season and share your stories with us.

Happy reading.
